I am a PhD Candidate at The Ohio State University.

I am a sociolinguist in the making and my specific research interests lie in language and ethnicity, migration, identity construction, language contact, and occasionally politeness. As a 1.5 generation Albanian migrant from Greece, my particular focus is in relation to the Albanian diaspora in Greece. My dissertation explores the contsruction of the Albanian migrant in Greek mass and social media.

Together with my academic advisor Brian Joseph, director of the Laboratory for Greek Dialectology, I also do some work on the contact between Greek and Albanian in the ethnic Greek minorities of South Albania.
